A Week Rooted in Purpose

Our Celebration Orchestra team traveled to Romania and we returned home with hearts full and so thankful for all that God accomplished through this project. From rehearsals to concerts, from mornings spent leading Vacation Bible School to afternoons connecting with the people we came to serve. Every part of this trip, no matter how different it looked from one day to the next, was rooted in our purpose: to share the Good News of Jesus through music.

Watch the recap video to hear some of the stories of what God was doing in Romania on this project.

Every Note an Offering

Our goal is to share the Good News of Jesus through music. Romania was no exception. Over the course of the week, we performed five concerts in five very different settings, and in each one we watched the same thing happen — a room full of strangers grew quiet, leaned in, and received something they were not expecting to receive.

We are so thankful for God's protection and provision over our team throughout the week, and for the way He used the music to open doors that words alone could not. Each concert carried its own character, but every one of them was built around the same conviction: that a song can say what a sermon sometimes cannot, and that God can use even a few minutes of music to plant something permanent in a person's heart.

We do not play for applause. We play so that somewhere in that music, someone hears that they are loved and that Jesus is real. That was the heartbeat behind every performance on this project, and we were grateful to see it confirmed again and again.

Planting Seeds at Vacation Bible School

Some of the best moments did not happen on a stage at all. For several mornings, our team gathered to lead Vacation Bible School and a music camp for local children.

We taught songs, led games, and put instruments directly into the hands of kids who, in many cases, had never held one before. Sharing music this way is deeply connected to why we came in the first place.

By the final day, VBS closed with a program for the children's parents to see what their kids had learned throughout the week. Watching those parents see their own children sing and play was a reminder that the love we came to share was never meant to stop with us — it was meant to be carried forward.

The Heartbeat of the Project

Beyond the concerts and the music lessons, this project was deeply defined by the relationships we built and the people we were blessed to know. Sharing the love of Jesus through real, personal connection is the true heartbeat of everything we do.

One of the highlights of the trip was a community outreach picnic at the Harmony property, where our team and the local community gathered together outdoors, ate, and spent time simply enjoying one another's company.

These relationships were a beautiful reminder of God's goodness. We came to Romania to give something — our music, our time, a few instruments — and left having received just as much in return. That connection, more than anything else, is what we carry home from a project like this.
