CELEBRATION ORCHESTRA
July 10 - 21, 2025

Our Paraguay project in July was a great one that began two years ago with our first visit there. Our mission partners are 5 young men who not only host us but are also a fine singing group called aDoriOs. They are based out of a Mennonite community in a city called Campo 9 where there is an established large community of Mennonites who are totally self supported by their agriculture and other business acumen. We greatly enjoyed our first visit with them and this one took it to another level of connections, sharing, and planning for a future trip there.

This project was unique because only two concerts were in churches. All of the other concerts were in public venues (e.g. city auditoriums) and a police academy. We had an evangelist preacher at all of those locations that boldly presented the Gospel message to the crowd. Many prayed to either receive Christ or to rededicate their lives to God. Over 3,000 people heard the Gospel during the project.

Our first day was primarily a rehearsal day as we gathered together with our Celebration Orchestra team plus an excellent group of Paraguayan musicians. After rehearsal we drove to Caaguazu to play an evangelistic concert at the Centro Cultural Department theater that was a packed house of enthusiastic listeners. Along with the music and sharing during the concert, the Gospel was presented by an evangelist that touched many hearts, and a number of the audience members prayed to accept Christ.

Our second day began with lunch at the Churrasquaria Alff, a Brazilian style steakhouse. It was a blessing to all!! Our afternoon and evening activities included a concert within the Mennonite community at the Centro Social EMG and dinner with the youth of the church. We truly enjoyed our fellowship time with them. They welcomed us so warmly.

The next day we traveled to the Coronel Oviedo Police Academy where we played for over 600 officers attending the academy. The Gospel was presented once again by our evangelist and over one hundred men came forward for prayer at the end. We were so blessed to be there and used by God to encourage and share with these young men.

The next day we traveled to Rama Camp and prepared for an evening concert in the Auditorio Rama Camp.  Once again we were greeted with a full house of listeners who heard great music and a presentation of the Gospel. We were blessed to also be with the talented Che Róga band and play with them on several of their songs. Many prayed to receive Christ or rededicate their lives to God. It is so powerful to see God at work!

We gave artwork to a wonderful Christian based hospital for the children’s area.

We also did some teaching with local musicians with workshops and rehearsals at the EMG church at Campo 9 within the Mennonite community. We enjoyed sharing with the students and encouraging them in their musicianship and their faith in Christ.

On our last ministry day, we drove to Ciudad del Este to prepare for a concert at Auditorio Mangore. Our concert that evening was once again packed with over 700 listeners, and many prayed to receive Christ that night. We celebrate all who now know the Lord, our Savior, as theirs now. God is so good.

We were very blessed to have Caleb Mullis with us on this project who took many photos and created the videos on this page. We can’t wait to return to Paraguay in 2027.
