Wow, what an experience the Israel project has been!
My husband and I became aware of Global Missions Project through Camp’s visit to Oklahoma in March 2025 at a workshop. God moved us both so strongly through that worship experience that we knew without any doubt or reservation that we must go and serve.
God impressed upon us that Israel was where we needed to share the message of Christ through the musical gifts He has given us. There were times we questioned the wisdom of that decision given the situation there but God always answered back to stay the course.
One email exchange we had with Camp during a particularly volatile time in Israel spoke to us in a profound way. Camp answered our concerns by saying that we could definitely change to a different project if we wished but that God hadn’t begun to move yet on that other project. The next day we learned of the cease fire in Israel. Wow! God showed us we were were going to be okay and to keep pressing forward.
God did move in a great way during our time in Israel. People everywhere we played responded to the message of God’s love through the universal language of music. What a great blessing to witness that!
You could see the love and appreciation radiate from their eyes and faces. They were being seen….they were being heard….and we were all in the presence of God’s love. One deeply, spiritually-connecting moment for my heart and soul was while reflecting on God’s love, grace and mercy while observing His perfect sunset on the Sea of Galilee. I praise Him for that experience.
Also, I was quickly reminded of my physical limitations while on this project, but God had that covered too (2 Corinthians 12:9). Through the gracious acts of kindness of our team members (my brothers and sisters in Christ), I was lifted up emotionally, spiritually, and literally physically by each person on the team. I cannot tell you how greatly that ministered to my spirit and soul. Thank you Lord Jesus for each one of these precious souls.
I didn’t want our music to come to an end. It struck me that this group of people were put together for this team for this purpose for this time.
God has ministered to me since we returned home and let me know that these memories, these people, these experiences will always be a part of me and we may never know of all of the fruits of our mission until we get to Heaven (Acts 1:8, John 15:4-8).
