Metro Big Band
December 9 - 19, 2026

Buenos Aires, Argentina

From Our Mission Partners:

The Baptist Seminary (SITB) has been ministering for 110 years. For most of that time, we have worked with a music training program. Over the last 21 years, we have developed a degree program for professional musicians and music teachers. We understand that music is a vehicle for communicating the gospel message to society.

Your support would enable us to once again impact our community with the musical excellence of a Christian Big Band. Very few have come to our country, and Argentinians greatly appreciate music, especially in anticipation of Christmas.

The experience we had in September 2025 when the Celebration Orchestra visited us was a great blessing, not only for my life but also for the community we represent at the Seminary. They left a great impression in terms of their example of service, dedication, and musical professionalism. This made many people regret not having set aside time to share with you, and they hope to do so soon.

Wherever you went, your testimony and memory were significant, especially since many of our students had never seen an orchestra before, and it was very important for our music school.

The master classes, the performances with the Seminary choir, and the donation of instruments (which is still in process) have left a very big impression. We give glory to God for your lives, your dedication, and for being part of this blessing of knowing you and being able to welcome you again.

This project will be led by Camp Kirkland.

Project Objectives:

  • To share through music a message of hope centered in Christ, through concerts of the orchestra in different places of our city: theaters, as well as places of scarce economic resources.

  • To impact high level musicians in the country through masterclasses, establishing relationships with them to continue in the future.

  • Contribute to SITB's institutional project of creating a children and youth band and an academic career training, to be a seedbed for professional Christian musicians.

  • Encourage musical cultural exchange with different bands, choirs and musicians of our institution, not only to enhance the performances but for musical growth.

Project Highlights:

  • Spiritual and musical growth

  • Valuable interpersonal relationships

  • Possibility of collaborating in our training (SITB teachers and musicians) and in musical and ministerial growth.

  • Connect with cultural, governmental and legislative personnel in high positions for the organization of these meetings.
